Standing - Livsløpstrær and høgstubber

This series documents stumps or trees left standing within cleared forest landscapes, often referred to as life-cycle trees or high stumps.
Surrounding forests are harvested as part of a material cycle, supplying timber for construction, while selected elements remain for ecological reasons.

These forms exist between extraction and regeneration, marking both removal and continuity.

The work considers these standing elements as residual structures, linking forestry, ecology and the built environment.
